Mike McNicholas is Consultant knee surgeon at Liverpool University Hospitals in Broadgreen. He is Chairman of the ICRS global cartilage treatment registry and a member of the National Ligament Registry steering committee. He is clinician advisor to NICE, associate editor and reviewer for several orthopaedic journals

David Elson is Consultant knee surgeon at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne. He is Chairman of the United Kingdom Knee Osteotomy Registry. He has made regular contributions to the literature on knee surgery
